TV and radio did it and online entertainment is no different and yet this generation for some reason doesn't 'get' it. If everyone ad blocked all YouTubers, 90%+ of them would be gone within 6 months. I remember I actually saw a comment about ad blockers and a user said "I'll decide which YouTubers I turn ad-block off for" and I facepalmed and was like "free content only exists because it's ad supported". Unfortunately this generation seems to think people work for free.
